This wonderfully warm and exotic black tea is reminiscent of Indian chai. Breathe in the eastern, spicy aroma and think of traveling to India one day. A popular fall beverage that is divine without milk, but is only enhanced when made as a chai latte.
Tea Preparation
Water

The quality of water used has an impact on the quality of the tea. Always use freshly drawn water or filtered water. 

Temperature

Heat fresh water to a rolling boil or to a temperature of 212F using an electric hot water heater or a stove top kettle.

Infusion Time

Once the water reaches the appropriate temperature, it should be poured immediately over the tea bag. Keep the teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 5-7 minutes. When the tea is done steeping, immediately remove the tea and lightly stir.

Caffeine Level

This black tea has more caffeine than teas in our green tea range. It's important to keep in mind that brew time accounts for the primary influence over a tea's caffeine content.

Very Aromatic

I love the idea of this tea. It's not one that I drink as often because the flavor is a bit unnatural tasting. I love cardamom,but the "flavoring" is a bit chemical and unnatural. I open the bags and add ground cardamom and a few clove or anise pieces and it overrides the perfume aspect. I think I'll just stick with cardamom pods in Ahmad's delicious Earl Grey!

Cardamom Hugs

This is one of my all-time favorite Ahmad teas. I cannot get enough of it on cool fall nights, and all through winter. It really is delicious, but also soothing and comforting. It is like a hug in a mug.
