The best part of the day must be spent sipping this favorite afternoon blend. This sparkling, coppery-red tea is a combination of select Indian, Ceylon and Kenyan black teas. And if that's not enough, a touch of bergamot tickles the palette for the most English of brews. Bake a fresh batch of warm scones and sip and scoff the afternoon away. Add a slice of lemon to this tea, if preferred.
Tea Preparation
Water

The quality of water used has an impact on the quality of the tea. Always
use freshly drawn water or filtered water.

Temperature

Heat fresh water to a rolling boil or to a temperature of 212F using an electric hot water heater or a stove top kettle.

Infusion Time

Once the water reaches the appropriate temperature, it should be poured immediately over the tea bag. Keep the teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 5 minutes. When the tea is done steeping, immediately remove the tea and lightly stir.

Caffeine Level

This black tea has more caffeine than teas in our green tea range. It's important to keep in mind that brew time accounts for the primary influence over a tea's caffeine content.

Just a touch of bergamot

A smooth delicious blend, with just a 'touch of bergamot'. On most days the Earl Grey is my favorite, on those other days, it's this one.
Ahmad Tea has become my all around Number1 GoTo. The quality of the tea itself, and their skill at blending, is unmatched. Thanks Ahmad!

Great

I like bergamot, so this tea is right up my alley. It has a little more depth than an average earl grey (which is already one of my favorites) so its become my go-to tea in the afternoon.

my favorite tea... except.

I happened upon this tea in a stack of several others from a local second hand store as a small looseleaf tin and took a chance on it, 3 years later it has remained my favorite tea. It truly is a cup of brewed happiness and elegance, my biggest problem, however, is that there is no longer a looseleaf option, or even a large tea-circle pack like there used to be. Having them individually wrapped feels very wasteful, and honestly since I came to know the tea as a looseleaf, I find that the flavor is a bit weaker from the tea bag packets then what I have come to enjoy. I would really really appreciate if the packaging options were different for this tea so that I may continue to enjoy it!

Please bring back the round tea bags!!

I loved those round tea bags -- just perfect for a large cup of tea or thermos! I am sooo disappointed in these little square things. I don't think they have as much flavor.
