Wake up every morning in England, with this quintessential, full-bodied, black tea - a blend of malty Assam, bright Ceylon and robust Kenyan teas. Enjoy this 'British cuppa' with milk and sugar to complement your breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea.

Tea Preparation
Water

The quality of water used has an impact on the quality of the tea. Always use freshly drawn water or filtered water.

Temperature

Heat fresh water to a rolling boil or to a temperature of 212F using an electric hot water heater or a stove top kettle.

Infusion Time

Use the infuser of your choice. Measure 1 teaspoon of tea per person. For a stronger brew preference, add an additional teaspoon for the pot.

Once the water reaches the appropriate temperature, it should be poured immediately over the tea leaves. Keep the teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 5-7 minutes. When the tea is done steeping, immediately remove the tea and lightly stir.

Caffeine Level

This black tea has more caffeine than teas in our green tea range. It's important to keep in mind that brew time accounts for the primary influence over a tea's caffeine content.

Tasting Notes

Engage your senses

The rich and malty aroma of English Breakfast makes this blend an invigorating beverage to kick-start your day.

Aroma

English Breakfast appears dark golden-brown in color and has a very bright or reflective surface. This brightness demonstrates the very high quality of the tea leaves, which are medium-sized grainy leaves as well as desirable leaf bud tips.

In the cup

The Assam teas give English Breakfast a malty and creamy richness, while the Kenyan and Ceylon teas add freshness. Due to its very strong and robust flavor, this blend is well-suited for milk and sugar.

Great English Breakfast, poor supply

I began searching for my perfect cup of breakfast tea and was happy to have found Ahmad English Breakfast loose leaf. It's a five star tea, but I gave 4 stars only because I experience delays and problems every time I try to order this tea. They have been "out of stock" every time I attempt to reorder. This is crazy for a company this accomplished.

All Time Best Tea

I absolutely love this tea. I don’t drink coffee,so this is my go to tea at any time of day! I’ve tried lots of other brands but yours is by far the best. Am so glad I found you on fb, now I know don’t buy tea from anywhere else!

Best English Tea in America!

This English Breakfast Tea( loose leaf as only the British would have it) is the best in the business this side of the Pond. I have tried ALOT of them here. Nothing beats the Ahmad Tea English Breakfast (Loose leaf). Loose leaf is the ONLY way to brew tea. I learned that from my English friends, living in England and Wales for 3 years. Thank you for having this in stock!

The best English breakfast tea.

Of all the teas that lable themselves English Breakfast Ahmad is the best one out there. It has a great naturally "sweet" aroma that comes through in the taste. I haven't tasted it in any other English breakfast. I brew it extra strong. It does not need sugar. You can add milk but it is also good without.

Great English Breakfast tea

I have been drinking loose leaf English Breakfast tea for many, many years. I tried Ahmad tea when my usual local supplier closed down. The tea is perfect and always order when I can get it. I order 200 gram tins and, at least in the US, the availability of that size has been hit and miss. And this was before any supply chain difficulties. I persevere. :)
