Muslims around the world start to make their preparations for the annual fast, which this year starts on or around March 22nd. Ramadan, however, goes deeper than just fasting. It is the spiritual pinnacle of the year for many Muslims, providing not only an opportunity for deep spiritual focus and inner reflection, but also gatherings with community, friends and family, charitable giving, gifting, and celebration.
