Take a moment out of your busy day to enjoy this soothing green tea. Made with springtime tender green leaves and buds, including Chun Mee, this delicate blend pairs well with salty snacks, dried fruit and nuts.
Tea Preparation
Water

The quality of water used has an impact on the quality of the tea.  Always use freshly drawn water or filtered water.

Temperature

Heat fresh water to just under a boil or to a temperature between 175-190F using an electric hot water heater or a stove top kettle.

Infusion Time

Use the infuser of your choice. Measure 1 teaspoon of tea per person. For a stronger brew preference, add an additional teaspoon for the pot.

Once the water reaches the appropriate temperature, it should be poured immediately over the tea leaves. Keep the teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 4-6 minutes. When the tea is done steeping, immediately remove the tea and lightly stir.

Caffeine Level

This green tea has less caffeine than our black teas. It's important to keep in mind that brew time accounts for the primary influence over a tea's caffeine content.

I have been drinking Ahmad tea for years now. The reviews of green teas being a good source of antioxidants made me want to try green tea. I’ll admit, I bought every brand but Ahmad. None of them made me want to drink green tea. I was recently given a tin of loose green tea Ahmad makes & decided to give it a try. Honestly, though I’m hooked on these tea, I didn’t think it would be good. Guess the others I tried lowered my standards. I won’t go into the flavors & aroma, but I will say I was impressed with the quality & taste. Now that I’ve found a green tea that’s as good as Ahmad’s, It has been added to my list of teas.

I remember my grandmother steeping tea longer than recommended & telling me that was the way to make good tea, so I never forgot that. If you like your tea strong, but not bitter, let it steep 15+ minutes.
Hope you enjoy, I surely do.
