Barooti Assam is a premium blend of Broken Assam Leaves with Golden Tips. This tea comes from the best gardens of the picturesque Brahmaputra Valley of Northern India and produces a strong cup of tea with rich flavor and color.

Tea Preparation
Water

The quality of water used has an impact on the quality of the tea. Always use freshly drawn water or filtered water.

Temperature

Heat fresh water to rolling boil or to a temperature of 212F using an electric hot water heater or a stove top kettle.

Infusion Time

Use the infuser of your choice. Measure 1 teaspoon of tea per person. For a stronger brew preference, add an additional teaspoon for the pot.

Once the water reaches the appropriate temperature, it should be poured immediately over the tea leaves. Keep the teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 5-7 minutes. When the tea is done steeping, immediately remove the tea and lightly stir.

Caffeine Level

This black tea has more caffeine than teas in our green tea range. It's important to keep in mind that brew time accounts for the primary influence over a tea's caffeine content.

Disappointed

I was disappointed with this larger quantity purchase of this tea. I had previously purchased a small quantity to taste test, and was pleased, but this larger quantity in no way tastes like my first purchase.

Decently brisk with noticeable varietal character

We typically blend with a lower grade but still plenty expensive Darjeeling for our morning cuppa

My favorite!

I have enjoyed this tea for many years. It’s my favorite morning cuppa.
